The Condor Sentinel Axe head is made from 1075 high carbon steel and is heat treated and hardened to approximately 50-55 Rockwell. The blade is coated with a black powder coating. The paracord-wrapped handle is made with genuine 550 lb test parachute cord, which has seven inner strands for additional use in situations where a single piece of cord may not be enough. One of the inner strands can also be further separated, providing fishing line, sewing thread, or assistance in any situation where a fine, strong strand is needed. The sheath is made of high-quality Kydex with a leather belt loop, designed by 710 Custom Sheaths.
