Fire Starter Stick - Mayan Flame
Fire Starter Stick - Mayan Flame.
Tinder on a Cord.
100% natural product.
As far back as 3800 years ago, the Maya used natural pine sticks as candles and for starting fires.
They have a high resin content (around 80%), which ignites more easily and burns at a higher temperature than paper, wax, or other fire starters.
Their long, slow burn makes them suitable for use as a candle or torch.
They are harvested by hand from the stumps of a special type of pine, "Pino del Ocote" (not from endangered areas or rainforests).
Mayan Flame are also known as: Ocote and Fatwood.
This is an ecological, reliable, and efficient way to start a fire.
Stick length 17-20cm.
Weight: 50-70g.
Origin: Honduras
