Ghillie Kettle HARD ANODIZED COOK KIT - ADVENTURER/EXPLORER Cooking Set

The kit is compatible with the Adventure and Explorer models.

The set consists of hard anodized: pot, frying pan and handle for them, grill, as well as a base stand and cooking support.

The pot, frying pan, grill and handle fit inside the kettle base, so the compact packed size is not compromised.

Hard anodized aluminum provides the same great characteristics as regular aluminum, plus added protection and durability. In addition to being scratch-resistant, hard anodized aluminum is easier to clean and has all the advantages of stainless steel, but is less expensive and, most importantly for camping, much lighter. It also has a smooth non-stick, non-reactive surface and boils faster, heats food quickly, and cleans easily.

What does "HARD ANODISED" mean

The result of hard anodizing is a thicker and stronger coating, approximately 2-4 times tougher than standard anodizing. The resulting material is as close as possible to titanium - while still using easily workable aluminum, it achieves strength greater than stainless steel, with added advantages - lower weight, faster boiling of water, and no possibility of rusting!

Anodizing is mainly used to strengthen the outer surface of aluminum and is also an easy way to add color. What the process actually does is create a layer of aluminum hydroxide on the surface of the metal. Once the process is complete, the aluminum is no longer susceptible to nicks and scratches on the surface, because the pores of the metal have tightened, creating a harder surface.

There are 3 types of anodizing

Type I - is specialist anodizing using chromic or phosphoric acid instead of sulfuric acid.

Type II - is anodizing that can be done in a garage using sulfuric acid and colored dyes.

Type III - is hard anodizing. It requires a more controlled environment.

Описанието отговаря, но очаквах по-голям размер. Иначе е ОК.
