CRKT M16 SPECIAL FORCES G-10 M16-14SFG VEFF SERRATIONS

A knife designed for special military forces. The M16-SF models are "folding fixed blades" with G10 InterFrame construction. The blade, frame, and hardware are non-reflective tactical black. The blade has a titanium nitride coating for maximum corrosion resistance. One-handed opening and closing is fast and smooth. All SF models feature CRKT's exclusive patented AutoLAWKS™ safety system, which automatically turns folding knives into virtual fixed blades.
The G10 models include black G10 handles, stainless steel frames with friction grooves, and premium 8Cr14 stainless steel blades combined with CRKT's exclusive Veff™ serrations. G10 is often preferred for its aggressive grip texture, light weight, and superior insulating properties.
All knives in this series are equipped with clip options that allow four carry positions. 
Attention: These knives are not intended to be carried tip-up in the pocket. They are specialized knives designed by the military for use by special forces.
About the designer:
Kit Carson of Vine Grove, Kentucky, is a retired professional soldier who rose to the rank of Master Sergeant. He has been making knives for 30 years and has been a full-time knifemaker since 1993. He is a voting member of the Knifemakers' Guild. Kit has been an avid hunter and fisherman for more than 40 years, having grown up enjoying the forests and trout streams in the mountains of North Georgia. Of his knife design philosophy, he says: „I strive to follow the form and function of the knives I design and create. My reputation is built around solid working knives, both fixed blade and folding. All the time spent outdoors as a young man, and the time spent around the world with the Army, strongly influenced the knives I create.” Nothing reflects this approach more than CRKT's Carson Design M16 series, which was created for functionality rather than to follow fashion. This exceptionally successful knife series was named one of the Top 10 factory tactical folders of the decade by Blade magazine. The M16-14M won a comparison test conducted by the German magazine Messer.
