History is filled with periods of uncertainty. A wise person does not panic; they prepare. Strengthen yourself against future challenges with a tool you can rely on, no matter what.
Made from premium American-produced CPM-Magnacut stainless steel, the Shepherd features a 3.875" blade that is exceptionally resistant to corrosion and staining. Thanks to Dawson's proprietary heat treatment, their blades stay sharp up to twice as long as other premium steels.
Backed by an industry-leading warranty and more than 50 years of knifemaking experience, the Shepherd is a stronghold of American quality and craftsmanship.
MagnaCut is the new superstar among CPM stainless steels because it offers toughness and edge retention comparable to the top non-stainless steels CPM-CruWear and CPM-4V. Unlike them, however, it even surpasses CPM 20CV in corrosion resistance and comes just slightly below the exceptional rust resistance of Vanax or LC200N. MagnaCut's carbide structure is much finer than that of most powder metallurgy stainless steels, which means an unusually high level of sharpness can be achieved.
