Satre is a compact, lightweight, and extremely durable fixed blade knife. Given its features, it can be used for a wide variety of activities and applications, including survival and bushcraft, or as part of an EDC (Every Day Carry) kit. It was designed in collaboration with Daniele Dal Canto, Master Advanced instructor. It can be worn as a neck knife thanks to the Paracord 550 lanyard. This makes it possible to carry it vertically with the handle facing downward. The pre-shaped Kydex sheath has holes that allow the attachment of both a lanyard and an ULTICLIP clip. It allows the sheath to be fastened not only to a belt, but also to a pocket, trousers, jacket, shirt, or T-shirt. ULTICLIP enables the knife to be positioned both vertically and horizontally and allows more accessible use for both left- and right-handed users. All three versions of the Satre come with a black sheath. A Desert sheath can be purchased separately as an extra. The skeletonized Full Tang construction allows the knife to be customized by using Paracord as a handle wrap. Satre is available in three versions with two different types of steel: the Black and Stone Washed versions are made of heat-treated Böhler N690 steel at 58 HRC. This material was chosen for its resistance to oxidation, its edge retention, and especially for its reliability, proven over the years. The Black S600, on the other hand, is made of Böhler S600 steel. This steel is used in the production of metalworking tools and tools for making dies. It has excellent hardness, wear resistance, and toughness thanks to the presence of molybdenum, tungsten, and a significant addition of vanadium in its chemical composition. The presence of cobalt promotes the formation of small, evenly distributed carbides that increase wear resistance. Satre S600 is heat treated and cryogenically treated to achieve an exceptional hardness of 64 HRC. This also makes it highly wear-resistant and gives the edge long-lasting sharpness. Böhler S600 has 4.5% chromium, which makes it oxidizable. For this reason, Extrema Ratio chose the new EXP DARK coating, providing exceptional hardness and resistance to wear and abrasion.
