The Silky Gomboy is a useful folding saw, ideal for outdoor use. When heading out, always carry a compact and lightweight folding saw to complement your knife and axe. Doing so gives you more flexibility when it comes to gathering wood for your camp or fire. The handle is made of comfortable rubber material and feels great in hand. The blade is made of SK4 High Carbon Steel.

The blade of the Silky Gomboy is very thin and hard. As a result, it is incredible to work with. However, when using it, you should pay extra attention to the blade. Why? This saw is a pull saw, which means the blade will not bend when used in that way. Make sure that when the blade moves forward, it is never forced, otherwise you risk breaking it. Always take the weight off the blade to free the saw. As with any saw: let the saw do the work and do not force it. As a result, you will not tire as quickly and you will not wear out the saw. The way you hold the handle determines how much wood you cut. Holding your hands close to the blade means you apply less pressure to the blade. As a result, you can cut more precisely and with better control. When you hold the back of the handle, the pressure increases, allowing you to cut faster, but less precisely.

If a Silky saw is engraved with an impulse-hardening symbol, this means the saw is impulse hardened and cannot be sharpened with a file. You can tell that the saw is impulse hardened by looking at the blade and seeing that the tips of the teeth are black.

The Silky blade should be kept clean to ensure it remains in excellent condition. Resin dissolves when it comes into contact with olive oil, making it an effective and environmentally friendly product you can use to clean the blade. Please note: aggressive cleaning agents can damage the rubber handle.

When not using the saw, you should place it in the storage case and store it in a dry place.
