CAS expands the APOC selection with its new Fallout series of survival knives and tools, designed by Jason Breeden. It features D2 and 1075 steel blades with a two-tone finish and a unique combination of perforated black Canvas Micarta and red APOC Red G10 scales. This provides superior grip on the full tang construction.
APOC Survival Tools expands the range of practical tools – from large to small – that meet every need. The APOC Fallout series blasts onto the survival scene with these exciting new tools.
APOC Survival Tools brings another unique design to the lineup, offering versatile functionality with the Breeden Derecho model. Blurring the line between a sword and a machete, the 46-centimeter blade excels at cutting, slicing, carving, and chopping. The 5.5 mm thick full tang construction allows one- or two-handed use while weighing only about 900 g. The Derecho has enough weight to get the job done, yet it is light enough not to tire the user. The unconventional tip construction gives the user reinforced penetration into thick targets.
We also have to highlight the comfort in use provided by the perforated black Canvas Micarta handle and the secure grip it offers. The blade spine and scales are seamlessly smooth. A lanyard hole is available for those who wish to add this safety feature to the Derecho. The sheath features a MOLLE-compatible Kydex locket for secure carry and a fiberglass body. The APOC Breeden Fallout series combines the design elements of Japanese boldness with APOC's apocalyptic functionality for a unique edged-weapon experience. The handle geometry, blade design, and decorative details reflect katana influence. The cutouts in the black Canvas Micarta handle scales imitate the wrapping of a tsuka-ito handle, while the textured red G10 scales echo painted same (ray skin). Moving away from the usual clean "black on black" style, APOC steps forward with a two-tone blade finish that makes it stand out in the crowd. Like a daisho, the Breeden Fallout series is designed so that the tools can be combined with each other in any variation, thanks to the overlapping design of their sheaths.
