1_ Molecular Spiral Weaving
The G·Loft-fiber® is a bi-component fabric spun from two different types of raw esters. Half of the fabric has higher shrink properties after spinning. Thus, a three-dimensional spring-like curl is achieved. Through this special process, the curl in the fabric is programmed at a molecular level, which gives it a memory effect.
2_ Premium Hollow Fiber
The fabric features a hollow interior with a diameter of one micrometer that runs along its entire length. Since air is a poor conductor, the fabric has the same properties as a thermos, where heat is insulated by an air chamber.
3_ Unique Clustering Formation
The G·Loft-fiber® is entirely randomly distributed, making the G·Loft insulation elastic and soft from all sides. The strands gather in the insulation, forming what are known as clusters. This way, the air creates a cushion, enhancing insulation capabilities like high-quality down filling.

Thanks to the unique hollow-fiber weather-resistant structure of G·Loft, moisture can escape from the fabric, yet warm air remains. The weight of the individual strands is much lower, allowing more strands to be used per gram. The G·Loft-fiber® is lighter than conventional fabrics and keeps you warm and dry.

The G·Loft-fiber® offers unparalleled compressibility. It guarantees an optimal heat capacity-to-pack size ratio due to its lightness. The spiral structure at the molecular level ensures immediate optimal storage, even after prolonged compression. For this reason, G·Loft insulation is also referred to as Memory Insulation.

The activity profile of a soldier is characterized by alternating high-intensity operational phases and long waiting periods. While a soldier doesn't actually need cold protection during active operational phases, they rely heavily on it during rest periods.
Our lightweight thermal protection system was thus developed for backpacks. It takes up very little space when packed and can be easily stowed. However, once unpacked, it provides effective insulation against cold and wind immediately.
WINDSTOPPER® fabric protects you from the chilling wind by blocking it, while remaining highly breathable. Combined with G·LOFT® insulation, it keeps you dry and comfortable, releasing moisture quickly into the atmosphere.
The jacket and trousers can be worn as outer protection but are equally suitable as warming liners under GORE-TEX® weather protection jackets. The ergonomic fit and soft G·LOFT® insulation allow unrestricted mobility, giving the highly insulated WINDSTOPPER® garments a pleasantly light feel.
