Ghillie-Kettle

StayAliveShop 11 Sep 2012

This year, KADKO Ltd., through www.StayAliveShop.com, has the honor and pleasure of being the first retailer in Bulgaria to import handcrafted Ghillie-Kettle products wholesale.
The centuries-old tradition and English quality make the Ghillie-Kettle one of the most practical devices for outdoor activities. You can quickly and safely heat water or cook food even in wet and windy conditions. Each is handcrafted and built on the "water jacket" principle (see cross-section diagrams).
Here's how it works: Water is poured into the vessel's spout, and the cap is placed. Flammable material is contained in the cone-shaped tube cavity, ending in a narrow opening/chimney located at the base. When ignited, flames rise through the hollow cone and exit from the top opening, like a chimney. The hole on the side of the base allows for the addition of more twigs, paper, etc., and draws in oxygen to maintain the fire. (Additional fuel can also be added through the top opening/chimney.)
The cap doubles as a warning whistle and is an excellent safety indicator; when the water reaches boiling point, a distinctive whistle sound is heard.
It is the only device in its class equipped with this safety feature.
The Ghillie-Kettle comes with full usage instructions. It is ideal for camping, hiking, fishing (even from a boat), and any outdoor activities. It is capable of operating in harsh conditions: wet and windy. With additional accessories, you can quickly and easily prepare food, and cleaning is as straightforward as with any aluminum dish.
No special fuel (gas, petrol, alcohol) is needed: instead, use twigs, pine cones, dry leaves, paper, newspapers, etc.
