The "PointONE" filter removes 99.99999% of all bacteria such as salmonella, cholera, and E. coli. It removes 99.99999% of all protozoa such as Giardia and Cryptosporidium. All SAWYER filters meet or exceed the recommended purification levels of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The included filter is designed for a high flow rate, so you can get fresh, clean water from the bottle easily and instantly. The filter can be cleaned by backwashing using the syringe included in the set. Periodic flushing with drinking water provides a practically permanent, non-replaceable filter.
Its capacity is 1,000,000 gallons or about 3,500,000 liters of water.
