The tungsten carbide insert is built into an easy-to-use striking tool that snaps into the handle.

A waterproof fire starter that works using a combination of a ferrocerium rod and an ultra-sharp tungsten carbide striker. Durable, lightweight polymer design with a lanyard loop. Similar to the centuries-old flint and steel, but superior because it does not simply produce a spark: it creates a molten glob that burns at a temperature above 3000 degrees. Produces up to 1500 ignition strikes.
