Magnesium core with a built-in profile of a 7-component alloy that throws sparks when scraped. Unaffected by wind and water. You always have a reliable way to start a fire. Using the included striker plate, scrape off a small pile of magnesium shavings. Strike a spark onto the shavings from the ferro rod profile while holding it at a 45º angle. Repeat if necessary.
