Woodsman, Casstrom's new bushcraft knife! A classic knife for use in the wilderness, designed by custom knifemaker Roger Harrington, England.

This knife was designed by someone with outdoor experience, and it shows. Clean full tang construction with a blade length of approx. 9 cm, a straight and fairly rounded handle suitable for both large and small hands. Leather lanyard and a sturdy deep leather sheath. The blade is made from thick Uddeholm Sleipner high-carbon tool steel to make the knife durable under heavy use (for example when splitting wood), while also containing some chromium to provide a certain degree of corrosion resistance. The steel properties, together with the Scandinavian grind, make the blade strong while remaining easy to work with and easy to sharpen even when you are out in the wilderness. Woodsman is a very robust knife and is suitable for your typical bushcraft tasks, including chopping wood or batoning. A premium choice for general use.

About the designer: Roger Harrington is an experienced adventurer and knifemaker who for the last twenty years has taught bushcraft and survival to civilians and military personnel through his company Bison Bushcraft in Sussex, England.

About Sleipner steel: Uddeholm Sleipner is a high-carbon carbon tool steel. Its chemical composition allows it to be hardened to high hardness while retaining ductility (the ability to deform without breaking) and toughness, while still being easy to sharpen and capable of taking a very sharp and durable edge. Due to some chromium content, it will resist corrosion to a certain extent compared to ordinary carbon steel. Still, the blade should be dried after use and protected with oil or wax when stored in a high-humidity environment. Composition: C 0.9% Si 0.9% Mn 0.5% Cr 7.8% Mo 2.5% V 0.5%
