Pyrite uses a combination of a button lock mechanism and ceramic ball bearings to make this knife fast to open and always ready in hand.
The smooth action allows the blade to be opened one-handed by pressing the lock button or using the thumb stud. The blade is made from AR-RPM9, a proprietary steel comparable to D2 steel, with the advantage of better corrosion resistance. The rosewood handle is comfortable to grip and fits the hand well.
