The 5-Max Scout is an evolution of our popular 5-Max folding knife. It offers the same aggressive size and style, but is made from more budget-friendly materials. It features a 5-inch AUS10 steel blade with a stonewashed finish instead of S35VN, as well as glass-fiber-reinforced nylon (GFN) handle scales instead of G10. This allows the user to get a tough, large-format folding knife with 90% of the original's performance at less than half its price. Don't worry – this new, more affordable version still has sturdy stainless steel liners and is equipped with Andrew Demko's revolutionary Tri-Ad locking mechanism, which has passed every grueling shock and impact test and has withstood a freely suspended weight of 272 kg without any damage!
