The Cold Steel Espada is inspired by the classic Spanish Navaja knives, but it is completely modern in both appearance and materials. This mega-folder took the market by storm! Equipped with the patented Demko Thumb Plate, the Espada Large and Espada XL Large can be opened simply as they are drawn from your pocket. The beautiful Espada blades are made from premium American S35VN stainless steel - chosen for its ability not only to take a super-fine cutting edge, but also to hold it for an exceptionally long time. They also feature expertly polished G10 scales and mirror-polished 7075 aluminum bolsters and frame. Every Espada is equipped with the patented Tri-Ad locking mechanism, proven for its incredible shock resistance and strength. In its own notoriously brutal product testing, the XL Espada not only managed to withstand 600 pounds of freely hanging weight, but was even used to support a hanging engine block!
