We present to you the patented Black Box concept knife by Elishewitz. The idea of a fixed blade with part of the blade retracted into the handle began in the late 1990s, when the Phoenix model was put into production by Masters Of Defense. It features a button-lock mechanism. Allen Elishewitz took the idea for the Black Box from the Phoenix and completely redesigned the knife's shape, locking mechanism, and sheath. 

The concept allows the user to carry a 4" fixed blade with part of the blade retracted into the handle and only 1.5" exposed. The sheath attaches to the tip of the blade and, when the knife is pulled, it extends the blade. The patent-pending mechanism locks the blade open. When the lock is released, the blade slides back into the handle and the knife can be placed back into the sheath. The sheath features a clip that allows the user to attach it to clothing and gear. The system allows the user to carry a 4" fixed blade in a compact package. The aluminum ring can be positioned vertically or horizontally, or removed completely.
