Widely known in the knife industry as the „Godfather of Knifemaking,“ the late Frank Centofante was highly respected for his elegant designs and meticulous craftsmanship. Spyderco's Centofante 3 faithfully captures that spirit and transforms it into a practical everyday carry tool. This remarkable knife elevates the design even further with a saber-ground blade made from Crucible Industries' CPM CRU-WEAR—an air-hardening tool steel specially formulated to offer both superior wear resistance and toughness. The CRU-WEAR used in this knife's blade is further enhanced by the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process, which ensures an ultra-fine, exceptionally homogeneous grain structure that maximizes the steel's performance potential.

Instead of the injection-molded fiberglass-reinforced nylon handle and the two-position clip that are standard for this model, this elite exclusive version also features smooth black carbon fiber scales and a four-position clip that can be configured for left- or right-side carry, tip-up or tip-down.
