Building on the legacy of the Mantra series, the fourth-generation Mantra 4 is a sleek and stylish folding knife with an exceptionally refined front-flipper mechanism. When closed, only a very small portion of the blade tang protrudes above the back of the handle. Pressing the index finger against its textured surface deploys the blade quickly and reliably into the open position. Made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, the full-flat-ground, non-reflective black oxide blade rides on low-friction bearing washers. It also includes Spyderco’s signature round hole for additional opening options. The open-back handle is constructed from two G10 scales, one of which is machined to house a nested stainless steel liner. The skeletonized liner forms the foundation of the knife’s sturdy liner lock mechanism and is carefully textured for easy lock release. To balance discreet carry with immediate access, the Mantra 4 features a low-profile deep-carry wire pocket clip that is reversible for left- or right-side tip-up carry.
