Ant is the most compact folding knife in the Extrema Ratio range. Despite its small size, this model features an exceptionally strong, durable, and reliable construction. The handle consists of two different elements: a grip made of anodized anticorodal aluminum and a hardened steel frame that functions as the blade locking mechanism (Frame Lock System). Part of the frame is bent inward to lock the blade securely when opened, thus increasing operator safety during use.

 Ant is available in 4 versions with two different types of steel, both supplied by Böhler, an Austrian company with which Extrema Ratio has collaborated for more than 20 years, using its time-tested materials for the production of their blades.

Ant Black and Ant Black Stone Washed are made from Böhler N690, hardened to 58 HRC for a better balance between edge retention and toughness; this is a type of steel used by Extrema Ratio for most of its knives.
