Mcusta MC-201G Shinra Maxima Minagi SPG2 San Mai Blue Micarta
Mcusta MC-201G Shinra Maxima Minagi SPG2 San Mai Blue Micarta
PSMC201G
The Mcusta MC-201G Shinra Maxima Minagi is a stylish folder with a blade length of 9.2 cm. The stunning micarta handle stands out with what Mcusta calls a bamboo pattern. This literally means that the handle is shaped like a piece of bamboo. Not only does it look great, but it also offers sufficient grip.
The knife can easily be opened by both left- and right-handed users thanks to the ambidextrous anodized thumb stud. The lock ensures that the blade will not close when you do not want it to.
This version is upgraded with a remarkable blade featuring a core made from SPG2 powder steel. An exceptionally hard type of steel that retains its sharpness well. The core is laminated between two layers of softer steel. As such, you benefit from the hardness of the core and the flexibility of the laminated steel.
Made in Seki, Japan, Mcusta combines modern technology with traditional Japanese craftsmanship to produce knives in series, yet with the quality of handmade knives. This knife features a 33-layer Damascus stainless steel blade with a VG-10 core, a black micarta handle, and a reversible pocket clip.
