This elite Sprint Run® version of the Manix® 2 Lightweight proudly features a blade crafted from CPM® 15V®, an exceptional material that offers the highest wear resistance of any cold-work tool steel available today. Containing nearly 15 percent vanadium, the alloy’s unique composition creates an exceptionally high volume of vanadium carbides in its microstructure. In knife blades, this translates into breathtaking cutting performance and edge retention. Spyderco’s limited-edition CPM 15V knives are further enhanced through a specialized heat-treatment protocol developed by renowned custom knifemaker Shawn Houston. This Sprint Run model of the Manix 2 Lightweight includes all the defining elements of this design, including a high-strength Ball Bearing Lock™ mechanism and a reversible pocket clip. To clearly distinguish it as a member of our CPM 15V family, its FRCP (fiberglass-reinforced co-polymer) handle is injection molded in a distinctive brown color, and Shawn Houston’s „Triple B“ logo is laser engraved on the reverse side of the full-flat-ground blade.
