Casstrom Strop Paste Polishing Compound
Swedish Strop Paste is Casström's own high-quality blend, designed to give your knife a razor-sharp edge.
Made in Sweden from the finest abrasive materials, using Swedish Strop Paste means your knife will deliver optimal performance on your outdoor adventures.
What is Swedish Strop Paste?
It is an abrasive compound used to refine and polish your knife blade.
When applied to a Casström leather strop, Swedish Strop Paste will remove any burrs from the blade, leaving a refined and polished edge.
What abrasives are available?
Grit is the term used for the size of the abrasive particles. Swedish Strop Paste uses three types of abrasives – coarse, medium, and fine. This means you have everything you need to make your knife blade polished and razor sharp!
Grey (coarse): Aluminium oxide, which removes burrs and provides a rough pre-polish.
White (medium): Aluminium oxide, which polishes and removes small burrs. A good all-round choice if you want to use only one grit.
Green (fine): chromium oxide paste, which refines and polishes to a glossy finish.
How do I use it?
It's simple. It is designed for use on a leather strop and is easy to apply. Just rub a small amount of Swedish Strop Paste onto the leather strop and you're ready to start sharpening. When too much paste builds up on the strop/leather, simply scrape off the excess with the edge of an old knife, for example.
Swedish Strop Paste 7 cm x 2,1 cm diameter. Approx. 50 g.
