THE CAVE
The first inflatable tent
Travel keeps you feeling alive. All your senses are alert and expecting something new to happen. You constantly adapt to new situations, new people, new cultures, and new environments. There are fewer standard things and more things to discover.
Nature has created one of the most efficient and stable structures – the molecular structure of the diamond.
Based on this principle, the “Inflatable Diamond Grid” – IDG construction was created. This makes the tent easy to pitch and exceptionally stable.
IDG is a self-supporting shell structure formed by 5 modular double-layer airbeams. They can be divided into five separate air chambers to ensure a stable position even in the event of damaged parts. They are made of laminated polyester fabric, which provides additional stability and durability. Our patented “Multi Chamber Safety System” allows the entire frame (IDG) to be inflated in a single step. Once inflated, the frame can be divided into five separate chambers, providing sufficient resilience in case one part is damaged. All parts of the IDG can be easily replaced or repaired.
The CAVE features five 2-in-1 valves, each with two closures: a check valve for quick and easy inflation of the frame and a large opening for easy deflation. This means inflating and packing away the tent takes less than a minute.
OUTER TENT
MATERIALS
The outer tent is made of waterproof and durable, yet also ultra-light polyester material (100% 75D 190T polyester PU 5.000 mm).
FLEXIBILITY
The tent is designed so that the frame, inner tent, and outer tent are erected simultaneously in one step by inflation. However, this does not prevent the two parts from being used separately.
VENTILATION
5 ventilation openings provide perfect airflow from the bottom to the top.
ROOF DESIGN
When the five airbeams are inflated, they form a star-shaped roof that is highly rain-resistant. Each of the star's points, together with the center of the roof, forms the ridge of an individual gabled roof.
INNER TENT
MATERIALS
The inner tent is made of lightweight, breathable, and also water-repellent fabric (nylon 40D 210T). In combination with the mosquito mesh, the tent offers exceptionally good air circulation.
GROUND SHEET
The groundsheet is made of very strong and completely waterproof polyester (Tafetta 70D 210T, PU 10.000 mm).
STORAGE SPACE
Multiple integrated pockets let you keep small and large items close at hand.
The vestibule is suitable for cooking or for storing dirty shoes.
Gear Loft
Additional space under the roof for storing gear or placing a lamp for diffuse ambient interior light.
GROUND
In general, tents offer more space than necessary. The Cave, on the other hand, offers as much space as possible. An efficient geodesic design provides the best ratio between material used and space offered.
SLEEPING
“The Cave” offers sleeping space for 3 people, or seating for 6 people in a comfortable setting.
