Fallkniven RL1 - everything in this knife is focused on how the blade edge integrates into the hand seamlessly and effortlessly. The steel, of course, is one of the best you will find in a folding knife. ELMAX stainless steel is a so-called "super steel", meaning its hardness and edge retention properties are far above normal. This is a high chromium-vanadium-molybdenum steel made with 1.7 percent carbon, 18 percent chromium, 0.3 percent manganese, 1 percent molybdenum, 0.8 percent silicon, and 3 percent vanadium. It is a so-called "powder steel", meaning there is no noticeable "grain", which makes it exceptionally strong.

The design of the RL1 is also blade-oriented. The Elforyn handle is shaped to flow into the blade, making the balance and feel in the hand unparalleled in use.
