Created from the ideas of Spyderco co-founder Sal Glesser, the Edgerati transforms his deep interest in high-performance sports cars into a remarkable knife design. Its perforated, geometric handle is inspired by the frame of the legendary Maserati “birdcage,” which revolutionized sports car design. True to that spirit, the Edgerati’s handle is meticulously machined from solid aircraft-grade aluminum and hard-anodized to create an exceptional combination of strength, light weight, non-slip texture, and dramatic style. It also provides a view of the knife’s streamlined Compression Lock mechanism, which consists of a stainless steel lock bar nested in a machined pocket in the front-scale liner. The blade features a full-flat grind and is made from CPM-S30V powder metallurgy stainless steel. It is available in both PlainEdge and SpyderEdge configurations. The textured index-finger choil allows a forward-positioned grip for enhanced control. The Edgerati’s widely spaced pocket clip is reversible for left- or right-side carry and perfectly complements the blade’s fully accessible Trademark Round Hole, allowing fast, secure one-handed deployment with either hand.
