Spyderco Karahawk Black Karambit C170GBBKP
Spyderco Karahawk Black Karambit C170GBBKP
AC170GBBKP
The original Spyderco Karahawk was a unique synthesis of the remarkable features of the classic Southeast Asian karambit and cutting-edge modern folding knife design. Now this dynamic design is offered in a stealthy all-black version, ideal for use in environments where the presence of light is an issue.
The dramatic Karahawk blade is made from VG-10 stainless steel to provide an exceptional balance of strength, edge geometry, and corrosion resistance. It also features Ernest Emerson’s patented “Emerson Opener,” which automatically deploys the blade as it is drawn from the pocket. The carefully designed curve of the blade provides exceptional cutting power and instinctively centers the blade tip in the user’s grip. It is paired with a compact handle constructed with dual skeletonized stainless steel liners that extend to form the framework of the reinforced karambit ring at the end of the handle. This ring provides exceptional grip security and supports the use of advanced “extended” motion and spinning tactics. The handle liners provide structural support to the knife’s sturdy back lock mechanism and are covered with non-slip, textured black G-10 scales. Best of all, the blade, liners, and all other metal hardware are coated with a low-profile, non-reflective black titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating.
