Spyderco Native Chief CPM-SPY27 Cobalt Blue G10 C244GPCBL
ASPC244GPCBL
Developed in close collaboration with Crucible Industries, CPM-SPY27 is a cobalt-enriched stainless steel that enhances the time-tested chemistry of Japanese VG-10 with the Crucible Particle Metallurgy (CPM) process. This state-of-the-art method draws maximum performance from the steel by reducing alloy segregation and ensuring a fine, homogeneous microstructure. Proprietary to Spyderco, this high-performance blade material is known for its ability to take a “sticky sharp” edge while balancing edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. This Chief proudly showcases that elite steel in its full-flat-ground blade and highlights it even further with a distinctive cobalt blue G10 handle.
