The designer of the WATERWAY, Lance Clinton, is an enthusiast knifemaker and professional fisherman who has spent literally thousands of hours on the water, giving him exceptional knowledge of marine knives. Clinton’s idea for the Waterway was to create an ultra-corrosion-resistant knife that excels at fishing tasks while remaining well suited for general utility and outdoor use.
The Waterway’s blade is made from LC200N, a state-of-the-art high-nitrogen alloy tool steel specially developed to offer superior corrosion resistance and exceptional toughness, even at high hardness levels. To maximize its strength and balance, the Waterway features a full tang blade. On both sides, solid G-10 scales are attached using a specialized process involving blind pins and high-tech industrial adhesive, and are meticulously 3-D machined to create a non-slip surface and a permanent waterproof bond.
To ensure comfortable carry and quick access to the Waterway, it comes complete with a custom-molded Boltaron® sheath with a multifunctional G-Clip ™ attachment. The form-fitting sheath retains the knife securely while allowing smooth, easy draw, and the G-Clip can be configured to provide a full range of carry positions.
