Casstrom No.3 Dangler
Casstrom No.3 Dangler
The Casstrom No.3 Dangler is an accessory that allows your knife to hang freely lower from the waist, so you can move easily
and quickly remove the knife from your belt. The specially designed D-ring can also be used for other tasks.
Description:
Item No.: 10101
Many of our customers asked for an extended belt loop, a "dangling strap", so that the knife can be easily accessible,
even when you are wearing a jacket or a large backpack with a hip belt. With the Dangler, it becomes easy to sit down without the knife getting in the way.
When the sheath hangs lower, it can flex at hip height, allowing the knife to smoothly follow the movement
of the leg, and if you tie it down to your leg, you can run, climb, and bend almost without noticing the knife.
We also designed the D-ring as a carabiner, which opened up many new functions and applications.
You can easily unclip the knife without having to remove your belt,
move the knife into your backpack, for example, or simply take it off quickly if you are approaching a populated area.
The D-ring is made of strong 8 mm thick aluminum, and in testing the breaking strength exceeded 400 kg, which means
that you can use it for many different purposes, for example for hanging gear, dragging an animal, or
attaching a dog leash. It can also be used for suspending a tarp or hammocks.
Please note that the D-ring must not be used for climbing, as a bad fall can create forces exceeding 400 kg,
even if the person is not heavy.
The belt loop is made from durable 3 mm thick brown cowhide leather.
The loop fits belts up to 5 cm wide.
The Dangler's D-ring is intended for sheaths with a belt loop up to 34 mm wide.
