Cold Steel 88NS 1830 Napoleon Saber
Cold Steel 88NS 1830 Napoleon Saber
BRKCS88NS
Napoleon’s cavalry was the scourge of the European battlefield, and not because of the horses, but because the cavalrymen’s swords were absolutely first-rate. They were produced in a modern factory dedicated to making the finest edged weapons of the time.
The medium-weight saber offered by Cold Steel was the cavalryman’s weapon of choice. It has excellent cutting and slashing capability while retaining strong parrying performance. In fact, it proved so popular that it remained in use long after Napoleon’s star had faded and was used by both sides in the American Civil War.
In its overall appearance, it closely resembles the Cold Steel 1796 Light Cavalry Saber. However, its design is slightly different, making it a much more effective and durable weapon. The thick, moderately curved blade is forged from 1055 carbon steel and features a long, wide fuller and a very sharp, practical point.
The grip of the Cold Steel 1830 Napoleon Saber is equally well made. It is wrapped in black leather and protected by a sturdy three-bar brass guard. The saber comes with a durable polished steel scabbard with dual suspension rings, so it can be easily attached to your sword belt.
