The crane is a symbol of good fortune and longevity, loyalty and strength, and is a much-loved symbol in Japan. As Cold Steel developed this katana to add to their long-established and world-renowned range of Japanese blades, they decided it was fitting to incorporate the crane as a motif.
The Mizutori Katana is a high-quality, high-performance blade inspired by older katanas used on the battlefield.
At just under thirty inches in length, the Mizutori's blade is made from high-quality 1095 carbon steel. The beautiful blade features a hand-sharpened Hamaguri grind with a highly polished spine and flat blade. The Tsuba and Menuki feature an iconic crane motif, while the high-quality ray-skin handle is tightly wrapped in brown cord, adding a level of detail and beauty that must be seen to be believed.
Housed in a glossy black lacquered Saya, the Mizutori Katana is a stunning and eye-catching sword that is sure to become the pride of your collection!
