From a design that reimagines the three-dimensional form of the chef's knife handle, an elegant and refined silhouette is born.
Created by product designer Takashi Ifuji, this handle stands out among the many existing forms seen today, offering an exceptional sense of refined style. When held, it fits remarkably comfortably in the palm and fingers—a design truly infused with functional elegance. Thanks to the full-tang construction, the knife achieves ideal weight balance. Despite this type of construction, there are no visible fastening rivets on the handle. This reflects a pursuit of clean design and balanced weight. The handle is made of black micarta—a lightweight and exceptionally durable material often used in high-end outdoor knives. Its layered structure is highlighted by a geometric, checkerboard-like surface finish that brings the material's natural patterns to the forefront and elevates the overall silhouette. The matte black sheen shifts subtly under changing light, creating an almost hypnotic effect that draws the eye along its flowing lines. The blade is made from VG-10 stainless steel, known for its excellent corrosion resistance and exceptional sharpness. Finished with a satin finish, every detail has been meticulously refined. With its carefully selected stainless steel offering optimal hardness and rust resistance, a handle designed for both beauty and comfort, and perfectly distributed weight, this knife represents flawless harmony between aesthetics and functionality.
