The 12.4 cm blade is thinly ground and exceptionally sharp, made from Japanese high-carbon stainless steel, heat treated to 57 HRC. The choice of this steel provides excellent cutting performance and good edge retention, while also making the knife exceptionally easy to maintain and highly resistant to corrosion.
