Designed by Spyderco co-founder and Blade Magazine Hall of Fame member Sal Glesser, the Bodacious is named after an American bull that became famous as "the most dangerous bull in the world." Inspired by the indomitable spirit and impressive strength of this legendary animal, the Bodacious is an exceptionally robust folding knife designed for uncompromising reliability. This edition of the Bodacious further elevates its performance with a blade crafted from CPM® SPY27® stainless steel. Offered only on select Spyderco knives, this elite steel features an advanced alloy formula that includes vanadium, molybdenum, niobium, and nitrogen. These alloys are enhanced by the strengthening effects of the steel's signature element—cobalt—and the state-of-the-art Crucible Particle Metallurgy process to create a blade steel that offers an impressive synergy of edge retention, toughness, and corrosion resistance. 
The Bodacious's leaf-shaped PlainEdge blade features a full-flat grind and a satin finish for low-friction cutting performance. It is paired with a skeletonized stainless steel handle construction fitted with smooth cobalt blue G-10 scales. In addition to impressive structural strength, this construction forms the foundation of the knife's high-strength Compression Lock® mechanism and provides a secure mounting platform for its broad pocket clip, which is reversible for left or right-side tip-up carry.
